Predrag Ikonić, Tatjana Tasić and Dušica Ivanov visited INRA-France
Tatjana Tasić – Training consisted of learning analytical methods for determination of lipid oxidation products and antioxidants.
First part of training considered introduction to all applied methods.
Second part considerd determination of malondialdehyde (MDA) and vitamins A and D in samples of milk and cheese as a part of European project TrueFood. And, in third pard of training obtained results were analysed and disused in the aim of mutual scientific paper between researcher from Novi Sad and INRA institute.
Whole training was conducted by Mr. Denis Durand, PhD, and helped by many expert personnel and technicians.
Dusica Ivanov – Training was designed on basis of planned PhD, and it consisted of learning all methods for analytical determination of fatty acid profile in feed and meat of experimental animals. Firs part of training considered preparation of samples:
-
freezing and storing of fresh meat samples
-
exraction of lipids by Folch method
-
separation of lipids in two groups: polar and neutral by column chromatography
-
transmetilation of fatty acids
Second part of training considered instrumental analysis of fatty acid methyl ester by gas chromatography - FID, but also qualitative and quantitative determination of fatty acid. A result of drill should be implementation of methods on Institute for Food Technology in Novi Sad (FINS) and mutual scientific paper between researcher from FINS and INRA institute.
Aside activities were also related to chromatography (HPLC and GC-MS), but more as a preparative, or control technique for determination of problematically fatty acid groups. Whole training was conducted by Mr. Dominique Bauchart, PhD, and helped by many expert personnel and technicians.
